About Amanda
Welcome
In my practice, I draw from multiple modalities and experiences. First, I draw from my experience as a midwife and mother. These roles shape my understanding of how to support parents through postpartum healing. I believe that optimal support during the postpartum period is foundational for the wellbeing of families and communities.
I also draw from my education in a somatically-based, developmental psychological system called Bodynamics. This system is grounded in the importance of mutual connection and bonding to deepen our relationships to ourselves and each other.
I help parents recognize their own developmental needs by building awareness and skill through the body so that needs can be met and resourced. Through resourcing, parents can experience healing and transformation. They end up feeling more embodied and empowered in their lives and their parenting.

Services
Women’s Health
I draw from many years of study and experience of working in midwifery and women’s health. My work has been focused on supporting women to find their own power and strength to make healthy choices for themselves and their families. I have a holistic approach and I use a coaching model in my care.
Health Coaching
Health coaches work directly with their clients to support to them as they embrace those healthy lifestyle strategies. If a practitioner prescribes a treatment protocol for a patient, health coaches can, through their support, improve the patient’s adherence to the treatment plan and goals.
